Martin Lewis is urging people with a credit card to make a two minute check which could save hundreds of pounds in extra cash.
The Money Saving Expert is advising those struggling with debt to apply for a 0 per cent balance transfer credit card.
Lewis says balance credit cards are ideal for those who have debt spread across different cards or if the interest rate is high.
It comes weeks after the financial expert warned that many banks were pulling 0 per cent offers.

PAIn the latest MSE newsletter, he said: "Immediately take two minutes to check if you can shift debt to an interest-free balance transfer card and cut hundreds of pounds of unnecessary interest.
"Don't delay. It's very likely most top deals will be pulled soon."
The cards allow people to move the balance from other cards onto a new one and will pay no interest for a set period.
Therefore Britons can pay their debt off easier because money is being saved on interest.
Lewis explains that people can focus on repaying the debt, rather than the amount added in interest.
However, the balance cannot be transferred between cards from the same bank.
An application for a 0 per cent balance transfer card can be made online or over the phone.
If the application is approved, the transfer of the balance will need to be done within a set period, usually around 60 or 90 days.

Lewis advises people to use an eligibility calculator before applying because every credit card application leaves a mark on a credit file and can affect the credit score.
According to the expert, the best cards currently available include one from Natwest which is offering a 30-month long 0 per cent deal with a 2.99 per cent fee.
M&S Bank also offers a similar deal currently at 0 per cent for a 2.99 per cent fee for 28 months with a £5 minimum.
Barclaycard is currently offering 'Up to' 30 months 0 per cent with a 3.45 per cent fee.
