Through The Body Shop at Home Service, consultants are able to sell products to consumers from the comfort of their own home.

Despite thousands of consultants and customers using this service, it will shut down at the end of the working week.

This comes shortly after the confirmation that The Body Shop has fallen into administration with more than 2,200 jobs being at risk.

Aurelius, the German company that purchased The Body Shop for £207millon last year, said it had been unable to bolster the business following dismal Christmas trading.

As it stands, Matalan operates 230 stores in the UK with one of them closing down in a matter of days.

Despite its popularity with more than 900 sites, Iceland will cease operating one of its stores this weekend.

In comparison, Lidl will close three of stores across the UK in Bradford, Lancashire and Stockton-on-Trees.

This recent wave of retailers shutting down stores mirrors the trend of bank branch closures.
