This year's Eurovision entry has been announced

Remember Monday have been announced as this year's Eurovision representatives for the United Kingdom ahead of May's extravaganza in Basel, Switzerland.

The country pop band reached the quarter-final of The Voice UK in 2019 and now has half a million followers on TikTok.

The three-part girl band will belting out their fast-paced tune, What The Hell Just Happened? after taking the baton from Olly Alexander, who finished in 18th spot on the leaderboard last year while Switzerland's Nemo emerged victorious.

Alexander, who fronted the band Years and Years, found himself under fire after it emerged he had previously signed a letter calling Israel an “apartheid regime” and condemning “Zionist propaganda” following October 7 attacks by Hamas and the war in Gaza.

His opinions sparked outrage with some even demanding that the 33-year-old be replaced for the singing contest.

This year's entry is being perceived by some on the internet as a rejection of the 'woke' acts that have come before.

One user wrote on X: "Watch the woke and gay communities go f******g nuts over this. 3 straight white females to represent UK at Eurovision."
