Walkers has issued an urgent recall of its Hot Honey Crisps 6-pack after discovering certain packets may have been filled with Mild Cheese and Onion seasoning instead of the correct flavouring.
The crisp manufacturer confirmed that the affected multipacks, containing six 25g bags, carry batch code GBB 584 031 and display a best-before date of May 16, 2026.
The mislabelling presents a serious concern because the Cheese and Onion seasoning contains milk, an allergen that does not appear on the Hot Honey packaging.
Consumers who have purchased the product are being urged to check their cupboards immediately for the specified batch.

The Food Standards Agency has identified milk as the allergen of concern in this recall.
Walkers stated: "Although this product includes precautionary allergen labelling for milk, milk is not included in the ingredients list and therefore the product poses a risk to people with an allergy to milk."
The company further warned that the crisps could present a health hazard for anyone suffering from milk intolerance or sensitivity to milk constituents.
The recall affects individuals whose immune systems react adversely to proteins found in dairy, including casein and whey, which can trigger responses ranging from mild discomfort to potentially life-threatening reactions.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
Customers holding affected packets can obtain a complete refund by telephoning the Consumer Care Line on 0800 274777 or by visiting contact.pepsico.com/walkers.
Walkers has taken comprehensive steps to address the situation, withdrawing the product from retailers and distributing point-of-sale notices to inform shoppers about the recall.
The company has also been in contact with relevant allergy support organisations, which will communicate the recall details directly to their members.
These notices, displayed in stores, explain the reason behind the product withdrawal and provide clear guidance on the steps customers should take if they have already made a purchase.
The Food Standards Agency has issued an official allergy alert regarding the matter.
According to Allergy UK, cow's milk allergy ranks among the most prevalent food allergies affecting infants and young children, though most will outgrow the condition by approximately five years of age.
For those whose allergy persists into adulthood, reactions tend to be more severe.
