Mike Rutherford is a musician best known for his time in the band Genesis.
He has spent most of his life in the Surrey countryside.
Mike has enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area in a home in Chiddingfold.
He moved with his family in the 1980s and he also had a studio near his property.
There is lots of outdoor space in the area
The guitarist spoke about preferring the countryside over busy cities.
“I love being here in the countryside,” he told Great British Life.
“It’s such a nice part of the world down here and it’s so great to come back at the end of a tour and just get away from everything."
Chiddingfold is a quaint village that is filled with traditional cottage homes and lots of outdoor spaces.
Visit Surrey states: "Lying in the south of Surrey in the local authority area of Waverley, Chiddingfold is a stunning village with many timber-framed Wealden houses and quaint cottages surrounded by spectacular countryside.
"During the reign of Elizabeth I, Chiddingfold was famous for its glass-making with no fewer than 11 glass works on the village green.
"In the hub of the village you will find serveral pubs, shops and a village pond."
There is lots to do in the area and Britons can enjoy time in nature visiting the nearby Ramster Gardens, Hydon's Ball and Heath and the Greensand Way.
