Morrisons has recalled an eye mist that could be 'contaminated'

Morrisons is the latest supermarket to recall a product that could potentially pose a health risk.

The supermarket told customers: "As a precaution, Morrisons is recalling specific batches of Morrisons Soothing Eye Mist 10ml due to potential microbiological contamination."

Customers who have purchased the product were warned: "Please do not use this product."

They were told to return it to their nearest store for a full refund, no receipt required.

Morrisons assured shoppers that "no other products are affected by this issue".

The supermarket concluded: "We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety."

Tesco has also recalled a health product over fears it could be contaminated.

Recently Morrisons was ranked in the Which? annual supermarket satisfaction survey for in-store shopping.

Marks and Spencer was named the best in-store supermarket for the third year in a row.

The supermarket received a customer score of 76 per cent. This was based on satisfaction with the brand and likelihood of recommending it to others.

Morrisons, however, received a customer score of 64 per cent.

Which? said: "Morrisons joins Asda at the bottom of the in-store shopping table. It got just two stars for value for money and middling ratings across the other measures."
