While skin care products can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, there are other things that can be done to give skin a youthful glow.
An expert shared why drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep will transform how your skin looks.
This is according to the CEO of epigenetic health company TruMe Labs Yelena Budovskaya, PhD, who said these tips are more important than people may realise.
The expert said: "Sleep and hydration and non-negotiable for youthful skin. While you sleep, your skin has time to repair and regenerate.

"Stress can also damage DNA, according to the National Institutes of Health, shortening cell lifespan and speeding up ageing."
Sleep and stress reduction can go hand-in-hand. Getting enough sleep can improve your mood and reduce stress levels, especially for those who get at least eight hours a night, studies have shown.
Hydrated skin also looks more youthful. This can be done by drinking water, eating hydrating foods and using skin care products.
The expert continued: "When it comes to hydration, it’s not just about drinking water.
"Skin hydration is key, and using moisturizing products, like hyaluronic acid, can prevent dehydration lines, which are often mistaken for wrinkles."
Yelena also suggested investing in a humidifier and lowering the number of hot showers you take as doing this can dry out your skin.
For food, think of fruits and vegetables that have a high percentage of water in them.
She continued: "Eating water-rich fruits and vegetables like kiwis and cucumbers will also help keep your body hydrated.
