The expert shared advice on helping it thrive, including ensuring the soil is watered well and that it has the optimal amount of light and heat.
The expert continued: "Let the topsoil dry by about half an inch (1.5cm). You can check the soil moisture level with your finger or a wooden stick.
"On average, at temperatures in the 20–23°C range, Oxalis needs to be watered every three to four days.
"It's best to keep an eye on the condition of the soil since the watering frequency depends on the temperature, humidity, and amount of water used for watering.
"The optimal amount of water should be equal to about 1/3 of the volume of the potting mix. Evenly pour the water at the bases of the stems.
"Once a week, loosen the topsoil with a wooden stick to prevent the growing medium from compacting and ensure proper air circulation and water evaporation."
Plant lovers should be careful with the type of water they use, too. Allowing water to settle and reach the correct temperature will give the best results.
The plant guru added: "Use water that is soft, filtered or settled for one to two days. Or room-temperature water for watering and misting.
"Ideally, it needs to have a temperature of around 25°C. You can add a splash of hot boiled water to warm it up. Provide your Oxalis with bright, diffused light."
