The discount supermarket is giving Britons the chance to enjoy wellness on a budget

Aldi has tapped into a popular wellness trend with its Inflatable Ice Bath, available now for just £29.99.

The budget-friendly product makes the cold water therapy trend accessible to more consumers without the premium price tag typically associated with wellness products. Indeed, it's not unusual for premium ice baths to cost up to thousands of pounds.

The ice bath can be set up in just 20 minutes and is made using Tritech puncture-resistant material to withstand weight, strain and movement.

It comes with a standard cover with rope fastener and is designed for single-person use, "ideal for at-home recovery, garden resets, or backyard bravery tests".

The launch comes at the perfect time, as cold water therapy is having a "serious moment" online.

The trend continues to flood social media, with the "viral" hashtag "IceBath" racking up billions of views on TikTok.

It even appears to be a hit among the A-list elite, with stars such as Tony Robbins, Joe Rogan, Hugh Jackman, Jessica Biel and Gwyneth Paltrow all enjoying the practice, according to Verve Fitness.

With warmer weather creeping in, too, the supermarket hopes that its Inflatable Ice Bath will become a summer garden staple.

It has already garnered positive reactions online. When one man was pictured enjoying the pop-up bath in the capital last week, a social media user posted that we have officially "hit peak London".

A second person, who spotted him using the wellness "must-have", added: "When gym is life, but you have a meeting at 9am."

The cold plunge product is one of several new Aldi products launched in recent weeks to elevate Britons' outdoor spaces.

Indeed, one new range is set to "transform" gardens into a "tropical paradise" from just £5.

Similarly, a "non-negotiable" summer staple is set to provide summer fun on a budget.

But shoppers should note that the Inflatable Ice Bath will not be around forever. Taking on Aldi's Specialbuys format, "once they're gone, they're gone", so ice bath enthusiasts will need to act fast if they want to "take the plunge".

Aldi Specialbuys are defined as "unique products" at "unbelievable prices". They offer something for every interest: think DIY, kitchenware, garden furniture, sporting equipment and "everything in between".

Speaking about Aldi's latest innovation, Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer, said: "The sunny conditions that we have been experiencing in the UK show no signs of letting up, making it the perfect opportunity to take a dip in one of our at-home ice baths.

As explained by the health gurus at Bupa, cold water therapy involves immersing the body in water below 15C.

Potential health benefits include reducing post-exercise muscle pain, improving cardiovascular risk factors, boosting the immune system, and enhancing general well-being, though Bupa notes more research is needed to support all claims.

The experts cautioned that cold water therapy isn't suitable for everyone, as it can trigger cold water shock, heart rhythm disorders or hypothermia. Those with underlying medical conditions should consult their GP first.

Experts recommended building up sessions gradually and warming up properly afterwards.

To be on the safe side, speak to your GP before purchasing Aldi's Inflatable Ice Bath.
