Britons can snap up a huge selection of 'family favourites' from Tesco's newly refreshed freezer aisle

Tesco's freezer aisles are getting their "biggest revamp" in seven years, with 270 new and improved products hitting stores from mid-September.

The overhaul brings exciting partnerships with beloved brands like Greggs, Zizzi, Crosta Mollica, White Rabbit, Kitchen Joy, and Itsu. New names joining the line-up include Street Snacks and Craft Pizza.

From Korean-style chicken tenders in the Finest collection to carbonara pizzas in the takeaway range, there's a "family favourite" for every taste.

Tesco's freezer refresh comes at a good time, with Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas celebrations just around the corner.

The supermarket hopes it will make hosting these celebrations "easier and tastier than ever before".

With nearly two-thirds of Britons choosing frozen food for its convenience, Tesco has responded by adding air-fryer cooking guidance to every own-brand product, "making cooking a breeze".

The premium Finest collection has grown too, with new pizzas, pies, fish, meat, and poultry options joining the range.

"Standout" additions include beef wellington and pigs in blankets wrapped in oak-smoked bacon - perfect for festive entertaining.

The potato dauphinoise also promises to be a crowd-pleaser at Christmas dinners.

For those with a sweet tooth, the White Chocolate, Mascarpone, Raspberry and Blueberry Cheesecake is ready to snap up.

As part of the relaunch, 50 products will have an improved recipe and refreshed packaging.

The supermarket's Takeaway Pizza range now features a "bold, colourful redesign that brings a fun, takeaway-style feel" – plus double the pepperoni on the Deep Pan Pepperoni Pizza.

Pie fans haven't been forgotten either, as Tesco has worked on creating "crispier" pastries with "rich, comforting fillings".

Two new Finest options are launching just in time for autumn: a chicken, chestnut mushroom and thyme pie, and a classic steak and ale.

The meat selection includes 17 brand new lines and seven improved classics, with festive pigs in blankets now made entirely from British pork.

Tesco frozen category director, Naomi Kasolowsky, said: "We are excited to bring the biggest change to our frozen aisle in nearly a decade, with more than 270 new and improved products.

"Frozen food is fantastic quality, super convenient, and offers great value. We know our customers will love the changes coming this autumn as we improve both our Tesco range and introduce exciting new brands to the shelves.”

In other Tesco news, the supermarket is now trialling a "groundbreaking" innovation that tackles fruit waste.

Avocados are one of the nation's favourite things to smash onto toast or chop into a salad, but choosing the right one can feel like the ultimate gamble.

With Tesco's new avocado scanner, shoppers will be able to work out if their avocados are perfectly ripe.
