Waitrose has issued a product recall for one of its fan-favourite pasta ready meals after it was discovered that its packaging failed to disclose a key allergen.
As a result, the much-loved British supermarket has pulled its own-brand Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta from its shelves and has called upon purchasers to return the item for a full refund.
The supermarket chain has alerted Britons that the presence of the undisclosed mustard could pose significant risks to those who have purchased the 375g ready meal.

Customers can return the item to their local branch for a full refund

The Food Standards Authority clarified that this warning specifically spans across Scotland and Wales only.
Meanwhile, Waitrose has already started to notify the appropriate allergy support groups about the issue and has placed warning notices at point-of-sale locations throughout its stores to alert shoppers.
Products bearing the expiry date of August 27, 2025 are affected by this recall. Consequently, shoppers who have purchased these items and have mustard allergies should not consume them, Waitrose instructed.
