Five beers from Three Tuns Brewery, Britain's oldest licensed brewery, have been recalled from retail outlets and public houses after the discovery of missing allergen information on product labels.
The brewery has initiated an immediate product recall affecting multiple beverages due to incorrect labelling that fails to declare certain ingredients.
The withdrawal affects both bottled and canned products across the brewery's range. The Food Standards Agency confirmed that products must be recalled when allergen labelling is absent or incorrect, triggering an official Allergy Alert.

The recalled beverages include XXX, Solstice, Cleric's cure, Best and Stout, which contain undeclared wheat and barley.
The omission poses potential health hazards for individuals with coeliac disease or those who have intolerances or allergies to wheat, barley or gluten.
The affected products include 500ml bottles of Solstice, Cleric's cure, Best and Stout, all bearing August 2026 expiry dates. XXX varieties are impacted in both 500ml bottles and 400ml can formats with identical expiry dates.

Customers who have purchased these products should refrain from consuming them and can obtain complete reimbursement by returning the items to the brewery.

The FSA warning read: "Sometimes foods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect or if there is any other food allergy risk."
