As lucky Britons take a longer break from work, the Bank Holiday might be the perfect time to quickly run to the shops to grab a few extra picnic and barbecue snacks.
However, it’s important to double-check store times before nipping out because certain businesses might have reduced hours or different opening times.
Read below for the opening hours this weekend for major British supermarkets including Morrisons, Tesco, Asda and Aldi.

Sainbury's Locals will stay open from 7am to 11pm as usual

Tesco
Tesco superstores or Extras in England and Wales will be open from 8am to 6pm, although this might vary from store to store. Smaller branches will be open from 8am to 6pm.
Most stores in Scotland will be open from 8am to 8pm, while Northern Ireland stores will be open according to their usual hours.
Asda
The majority of Asda supermarkets will be open on Monday August 25 from 8am but closing times will vary from store to store.
Superstores will close at 10pm or continue to run 24 hours as usual, while Express chains will operate normally.
Aldi
Aldi has confirmed that, over the weekend, regular opening hours will remain in place in stores across the UK on Saturday August 23 and Sunday August 24,
Stores in England and Wales will then be open from 8am until 8pm on Monday August 25. Scotland stores will close at 10pm as usual.
However, opening times of certain stores could vary so Aldi urged customers to check their website before heading out to avoid disappointment.
Lidl
While most stores will not be affected by the Bank Holiday timings, it is still possible to check opening hours online for your local store.

Morrisons has confirmed that opening times will vary but doors will generally be open from 7am to 8pm. Certain stores may shut as early as 5pm.

Most stores will be open from 8am to 8pm on August 25, while smaller stores will be open from 7am to 11pm.
