A number of supermarkets have recalled snacks with potential health risks

Sweet treats have been recalled from Tesco, Asda and Morrisons.

The items could contain allergens not listed on the packaging.


This could cause a potentially life-threatening risk to anyone with a serious allergy or intolerance.

Anyone who has bought the items can return them to stores for a full refund, no receipt necessary.

Best before: All dates up to and including December 4, 2023

Tesco said: "We are recalling specific date codes of Tesco 20 Crispy Caramel Bites, as they may contain egg, which is not declared on the label and could therefore pose a risk to customers with an allergy or intolerance to egg."

The Bakery at Asda 20 Chocolate Caramel Mini Crisp Bites

Pack size: 200g

Best before: All dates up to and including December 14, 2023

A statement said: "Asda is recalling the above Best Before Date Codes of Asda Chocolate Caramel MiniCrisp Bites (200g) because packs contain egg which is not mentioned on the label.

"This means that the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg."

This comes as Asda shoppers were urged to check for item with a dangerous choking hazard.

Best before: All dates up to and including December 12, 2023

Morrisons said: "Morrisons is recalling all date codes of this product because it may contain egg which is not stated on the label.

"This means the product presents a risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg."

This comes as Aldi shares a recall for homeware item that could cause a serious safety risk to shoppers.
