The classic cars, special number plates and other iconic lots will be up for auction tomorrow

A staggering number of classic cars will be on sale at H&H Classics 30th Anniversary auction tomorrow, with almost £10million worth of vehicles on show.

More than 200 lots will be on offer including classic, collector and performance cars, a share in a flying boat, desirable number plates and a celebrity-owned boat.

Lot 477 is the most expensive vehicle with an estimate of between £380,000 to £450,000 for a 1928 Bentley ‘Le Mans’ Style Tourer.

The stunning Bentley is one of just 699 4.5 litre models manufactured, with the vehicle having an extensive restoration in the 1990s to bring the vehicle back to a very high standard.

The vehicle was originally supplied to Prince George Imeretinsky of the Georgian Royal Family who was one of the famed “Bentley Boys”.

Other stunning vehicles include a 1938 Lagonda V12 Le Mans Replica Sports Tourer, estimated at £200,000, or an immaculate 1953 Aston Martin DB2 Vantage estimated to be worth between £140,000 and £170,000.

Colette McKay, managing director of H&H Classics, praised the auction, saying it would be a great occasion to mark such a historic anniversary.

She said: “Our upcoming auction promises to be a fantastic celebration of H&H’s 30th anniversary. We’re incredibly proud of the quality, quantity and diversity of the collection on offer.

“It is rightly fitting for such an occasion and is a fantastic representation of what H&H has achieved during its first 30 years.”

The cars on offer come from 52 manufacturers around the world, including a 103-year-old Ford Model T Tourer worth up to £12,000.

Even more recent classics are available to buy, with a 2013 Mini John Cooper Works GP expected to fetch between £18,000 and £22,000.

Classic Americana is on display including a 1968 Shelby GT500 Fastback and a 1970 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 formerly owned by Eastenders legend Nicholas Ball.

Colette McKay continued, saying: “During our 30-year history, we’ve had the honour and privilege to provide a first-class service for more than 75,000 clients around the world.”

“Whether they’ve trusted us with the sale of their motorcar, scooter or motorcycle, bid at one of our hundreds of auctions, or simply attended one of our sales to admire the lots on offer, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone.

“The first 30 years have been a fantastic journey and we very much look forward to our next chapter!”

One of the most interesting and obscure opportunities at the auction is a 1/25 share of a 1942 Catalina Flying Boat dubbed “Miss Pick Up”.
