Tesla CEO Elon Musk is set to be the target of a global protest today as drivers make their feelings clear about the billionaire on his 54th birthday.
The Tesla Takedown movement is gearing up to launch a global day of "anti-celebrations" for Elon Musk's 54th birthday today (Saturday, June 28).
Protests against the world's richest man have taken place weekly across the globe since the end of 2024 to target his recent political actions and affiliations with far-right figures.
This anger from protesters has led to a worldwide slump in Tesla sales, with new registrations of the brand's electric vehicles taking a massive hit across Europe.

So far this year, Tesla has seen five straight months of falling sales in Europe as drivers switch to cheaper Chinese electric vehicles, while others continue to boycott the brand.
Tesla Takedown has organised several protests in the UK, the United States and Canada to protest against Musk on his birthday to "hold him accountable".
UK protests will be taking place in Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, London Park Royal and Winchester later today from 11am on Saturday, June 28.
Other events taking place in the United States will protest against President Donald Trump, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
A protest on Boylston Street in Boston, Massachusetts, is declaring June 28 as "Elon's Bankruptcy Day". As part of this, Tesla Takedown promises "an unforgettable show of our collective strength and a recommitment to the long fight still ahead".
Other protests are wishing Musk an "unhappy birthday" in Rockville, Maryland, which will see activists "blow out the candles on his Tesla showroom in Rockville from 11am to noon".
Campaigners in Georgetown, Washington, DC, claimed: "This is going to be one huge party!
"Join us June 28 for a massive, global celebration of grassroots power for our Future, our Families, our Freedoms. And a very UnHappy Birthday to Elon Musk. Let us eat cake!"
