Mini has confirmed that its upgraded Countryman Electric model now has more than 300 miles of range, as well as benefitting from the Electric Car Grant.
The improved Mini Countryman E now offers drivers up to 307 miles of electric battery range in the third generation of the popular model.
The iconic British brand is also rolling out the Mini Countryman SE ALL4 with a maximum range of up to 287 miles.
Mini said this was down to the introduction of a new silicon carbide (SiC) inverter, which guarantees a highly efficient conversion while minimising the loss of power.

The BMW-owned brand has also made adjustments to the wheel bearings and the high-voltage battery capacity to further boost range and power.
Customers who opt for a Mini Countryman Electric will also be able to claim the maximum saving of £3,750 under Labour's Electric Car Grant.
While the Countryman has been included in the ECG scheme for a few months, drivers will be able to get the upgraded Countryman for a lower price.
Extended range models of the Countryman Electric will be delivered from March 2026 onwards, Mini confirmed.

It will also benefit from rapid-charging capabilities, with the Countryman charging from 10 to 80 per cent in less than 30 minutes.
Tweaks have also been made to the interior of the model, including a huge 1,450-litre boot capacity.
Mini said the Countryman Electric represented the "versatility of a compact crossover with Mini's unmistakable driving experience and iconic proportions".
Drivers will also benefit from a huge 24cm OLED infotainment screen and driver assistance systems that enable autonomous driving up to level 2.
