Yangwang is already selling the U9 on the Chinese market and is the world's first mass-produced car with a 1,200V ultra-high-voltage vehicle platform.
The U9 supercar is powered by the e4 platform, which delivers peak power of 555kW per motor and a combined system output exceeding 3,000PS.
BYD said the new electric vehicle speed world record was evidence that Yangwang was redefining the "sustainable supercar".
Professional driver Marc Basseng broke his own record during the attempt, having set the previous speed in 2024.

Commenting on the world-record feat, the German driver said: "Last year, I thought I'd peaked.
"I never expected to break my own record so soon - but here we are, at the same track, with new technologies that have made it possible."
The previous record was set by the Aspark Owl SP600, which managed a top speed of 272.6mph (438.73km/h).
Yangwang ensured that the vehicle was fine-tuned to the conditions on the track, including support from the high-performance brand Giti Tire.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
These tyres are fitted with a high-viscosity lubricant, which minimises slippage, reduces torque loss and tyre wear, while also improving stability during dynamic manoeuvres.
At the time of its launch in China, the road standard Yangwang U9 was priced at 1.68 million RMB, or £178,298.
BYD reports that this version has a top speed of 309.19km/h (192.12mph) and staggering acceleration speed of 0-100km/h in just 2.36 seconds.
During testing, the U9 was capable of travelling 400 metres in less than 10 seconds, while also having a CLTC range of around 465km (289 miles).
