Emerging Chinese car brand Chery has unveiled its new Tiggo 4 Super Hybrid for less than £20,000 in a major boost for British drivers.

The Tiggo 4 CSH will be Chery's first full hybrid SUV, with drivers being offered the chance to get behind the wheel of the fifth-generation of the Chery Super Hybrid powertrain.

Chery, which is the parent brand of popular automakers Jaecoo and Omoda, will launch the Tiggo 4 CSH as its first B-segment SUV.

From just £19,995, motorists will get a 1.5-litre engine, 1.83 kWh battery, a total output of 204PS and an impressive torque of 310Nm.

The SUV is being marketed for city driving thanks to its compact exterior, as well as a well-planned interior, making it suitable for longer trips.

Chery's five-seater hybrid will retain the brand's distinctive diamond front grille and signature LED lighting, as well as the impressive technology drivers have become accustomed to.

Farrel Hsu, country director of Chery UK, noted that the brand has been "very excited" to introduce the Tiggo 4 CSH to the UK market.

He said: "Our first full-hybrid reflects what Chery stands for - smart technology, everyday usability and exceptional value.

"It's packed with personality and intelligent features, with our unique Chery Super Hybrid technology as standard, giving customers a smarter choice for their next SUV."

Alongside the £19,995 price tag, drivers will be supported by a seven-year/100,000-mile warranty and an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty on the battery.

The Wuhu-based manufacturer confirmed that it would provide full details of the Chery Tiggo 4 CSH in the coming weeks, while drivers can pre-order the SUV through its retailer network.

The Tiggo 4 CSH is Chery's fourth model to enter the UK market since its launch in September 2025, alongside the five-seater Tiggo 7, seven-seater Tiggo 8 and the Tiggo 9 Large Hybrid.

CHERY

Despite being in the UK for just a few months, Chery has quickly impressed with its offering of large vehicles and Super Hybrids.

In the first two months of the year, Chery has captured more than 1.50 per cent of the new vehicle market with 3,533 registrations.

Chery has also beaten the likes of established brands in the first two months of the year, including Dacia (3,156), Fiat (445), Honda (1,756), and even Tesla (3,140)

Following its impressive January, where it registered 2,127 new vehicles, Mr Hsu said 2026 would be a "defining year" for the brand in the UK.

The Chinese brand is continuing to increase its presence across the UK, having recently become the principal partner for the 2026 Soccer Aid charity football match.

Chery continues to get more eyes on the brand with almost 60 retailers across the country, as well as its high-profile partnership with Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy.

Mr Hsu continued, saying: "Our focus is firmly on building long-term success through stronger brand recognition, meaningful customer relationships and exceptional aftersales support.

"As our model line-up and retailer network continue to grow, we are committed to ensuring every customer experiences the quality and service standards that will underpin Chery's future in the UK."
