Hollywood legend Daniel Craig has been tapped to launch BYD's premium sister brand as the Chinese manufacturer looks to revolutionise electric vehicles.
The British actor will launch the new campaign for Denza, BYD's premium, technology-oriented car brand, ahead of its official European launch next month.
Denza, which is the world's first premium brand devoted solely to new energy vehicles, will introduce its flagship Z9GT on April 8.
The Z9GT will be showcased at its European launch at the Palais Garnier opera house in Paris next month, as the brand attempts to replicate the success seen by BYD in the first few years outside of China.

Daniel Craig will "lend his image" to several key vehicles launching this year, including in marketing materials and TV adverts.

The Denza Z9GT promises to redefine electric vehicles with groundbreaking charging speeds and an impressive 800km range.
Featuring European design, the Z9GT include a 122kWh Blade Battery that provides up to 800km (497 miles) of range in the rear-wheel-drive edition.
The triple-motor version has over 960PS, providing a 0-100km/h acceleration time of less than three seconds, appealing to supercar enthusiasts.
Its most impressive feature is the use of its compatibility with Flash Chargers, which deliver a mind-blowing 1,500kW of power.

The Denza Z9GT will launch in Europe next month | BYDThis allows the EV to be charged from 10 per cent to 70 per cent in five minutes, and from 10 per cent to 97 per cent in nine minutes.
Even in freezing temperatures of -30C, the Blade Battery can be charged by the Flash Charger from 20 per cent to 97 per cent in just 12 minutes.
The so-called "Ready in 5, Full in 9, Cold Add 3" philosophy is designed to "break down the final barriers for those customers still resisting a switch to zero-emissions mobility".
BYD confirmed that the Flash Chargers will be rolled out across Europe soon as part of the start of its global rollout.

BYD hopes that the introduction and launch of the Denza Z9GT will bring further interest to the rapidly growing Chinese brand.
