High street favourite Boots will shut more stores following several closures earlier this year.

Boots stores in Salford Shopping Centre, The Port Arcades Shopping Centre and King William Street London have also closed, among others.

A spokesperson said: "Evolving the store estate in this way allows Boots to concentrate its team members where they are needed and focus investment more acutely in individual stores with the ambition of consistently delivering an excellent and reliable service in a fresh and up-to-date environment."

This comes as Clarks confirmed it will close five stores before the end of the year.
