Health clinics will open in three John Lewis branches within weeks

John Lewis will offer a new health service from next month.

Shoppers will be able to visit health clinics in stores as the retailer continues to expand what is on offer.

This is part of a partnership with Randox Health and they will provide various health checks.

Customers can get tests that identify early signs of key health concerns including vitamin deficiencies and hormone imbalances.

Shoppers can sign up for full body health tests starting at £295.

Two clinics will open in December with a third planned to follow in January. More could open in the future.

The new service comes in addition to in-store health services already offered by the retailer.

John Lewis stores also offer services including opticians, wellness and beauty clinics.

The high street has faced challenges lately as more people turn to online shopping, partly due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Recent research by NTT DATA UK&I showed more than half (53 per cent) of Britons would choose to shop online over the high street when buying clothes.

The new health clinics come as part of plans to encourage more customers into stores following struggling high street sales.

Sales across the wider John Lewis Partnership group, which includes Waitrose supermarkets, fell two per cent in the first half of 2023.

The group reported losses of £59million in the six months to July 29 but the new health clinics are thought of as a positive step toward bringing customers back.

Executive director of John Lewis Naomi Simcock said: “As trusted stores for local communities across the country, we can play an important role by making services like healthcare and wellness more convenient and accessible.

“In Randox we have an experienced and innovative partner to extend our range of in-store services, to help customers proactively manage their health and wellbeing.”

Randox Health has clinics across Scotland, Northern Ireland and England.

The health tests can check for deficiencies and suggest ways to improve health.

This comes as a doctor shared some of the supplements "everyone" should take to live longer and look younger.

They suggested multivitamins and collagen were among the key supplements to take.

Another doctor credited NAD boosters to improve overall health as Britons age.
