High cholesterol has become commonplace in Western countries due to the enduring popularity of fat-laden diets. A symptomless condition, many fail to notice they're affected until it's too late.
Thankfully, a TikTok creator has shared how she managed to slash her bad cholesterol by 39 per cent in just four months through simple lifestyle changes.
Vera took to the platform to reveal that her LDL cholesterol had plummeted from 153mg/dl to 94mg/dl between December 2024 and April 2025.

Her transformation came through swapping everyday foods and adding daily movement to her routine.
The turnaround was significant for Vera, who admits she used to love cheese and butter, eating them almost daily before making the switch.
She told her viewers: "I started eating healthy fats, and what I mean by that is salmon, avocado, peanuts and nuts. I ate avocados almost every day, about half with my meal."
Vera also revealed she'd munch on peanuts and nuts daily, and add frozen dark berries to smoothies she'd drink almost every day.
The dietary overhaul meant drastically cutting back on her beloved cheese and ditching butter almost entirely.
"I barely use butter now, and I always use avocado oil to cook," she explained.
Simple swaps like this made all the difference, helping her achieve those impressive cholesterol results in such a short time. She also made the switch to low-fat or two per cent milk and started choosing lean cuts of meat.

The TikToker made it her mission to include vegetables and fruits with every single meal, noting: "I would always try and have some veggies with my meal."
These straightforward changes to her shopping list and meal planning helped transform Vera's health in just a few months.
