A leaked memo from America’s top vaccine regulator has claimed at least 10 children died because of the Covid vaccine, reopening the explosive debate over whether families were ever told the truth about its risks.
The memo, written by Dr Vinay Prasad, director of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s vaccine division, says an internal review of safety reports found “no fewer than 10” child deaths linked to the vaccine between 2021 and 2024.
He added “the true numbers could be higher” and has accused the agency of ignoring warnings for years.
“This is a profound revelation,” Dr Prasad wrote. “For the first time, the US FDA will acknowledge that COVID-19 vaccines have killed American children.”

Critics of the vaccine say parents were never clearly told that the risks and benefits were very different for children than adults - raising questions over whether they had informed consent.
The memo, seen by NBC News, reveals no ages, medical histories nor evidence, and has not been peer-reviewed.
But Dr Prasad suggests myocarditis - the inflammation of the heart muscle - may have been involved.
In England, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) initially recommended Covid jabs for children mainly on “public health grounds” rather than clear medical benefit to the child, and later admitted the health advantages for healthy 12-15-year-olds were only “marginal.”

Yet more than a million children were vaccinated after the Government overruled early caution and pushed ahead.
Parents were repeatedly told the vaccines were safe and necessary, despite the UK’s own data showing children faced an extremely low risk from Covid - raising similar concerns in the UK about whether families were ever given the full story.
Dr Prasad also said: "Comparing the number of kids who died from Covid against these (vaccine-related) deaths would be a flawed comparison.
"We do not know how many fewer kids would have died had they been vaccinated, and we do not know how many more kids died from taking vaccines than has been voluntarily reported."

Dr Prasad’s memo also accuses US Government officials of being “dishonest” about safety and brands school and workplace vaccine rules as “coercive”.
He claims regulators “may have harmed more children than we saved,” and even tells staff who disagree with him to resign.
He also proposes sweeping changes to how the FDA reviews vaccines, attacking the flu-shot approval system as an “evidence-based catastrophe of low quality evidence.”
He says pneumonia vaccine-makers should prove their products actually reduce pneumonia, not just boost antibodies.
However, vaccine specialists have contested the claims saying Dr Prasad is misusing VAERS - the public reporting system where anyone can log suspected side effects, even if unverified.
“This is sort of science by press release,” said Dr Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, calling it “irresponsible” and “dangerous.”
The VAERS website itself warns reports can be “inaccurate, incomplete or biased” and do not prove a vaccine caused harm.
