Protests have escalated into clashes with police across multiple towns
Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps star Will Mellor highlighted his frustrations with the ongoing riots happening across the country and claimed that his daughter - Renee Mellor, 16 - is "scared to leave the house".
The outbreak of riots began after 17-year-old Axel Rudakubana stabbed and killed three girls, Bebe King, six, Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, during a Taylor-Swift-themed dance class in Southport.
The wave of unrest is fueled by xenophobia and misinformation surrounding the tragic killing of the three girls which has resulted in the arrest of around 400 people and another 100 individuals being charged.
Prime Minister Kier Starmer issued a statement on Tuesday evening, promising communities "will be safe" after a Cobra meeting and adding that those taking part in the riots will "feel the full force of the law".
Earlier this week, police confirmed that sources had identified at least 30 spots where riots could continue on Wednesday evening, including London.
As the riots take over the news, many celebrities who have a large platform have been speaking out against the way that Britons have issued their grievances, noting that looting local shops is not the way forward.
Mellor was amongst those who felt the need to speak on the matter and revealed that his 16-year-old daughter was "scared" to leave their home, but sparked fury amongst his fans when making a bold statement.
Taking to X, he posted a video where the caption read: "When my daughter is scared to go out I have to say something!!"
He says in the video: "Hello, you alright? I have just come out for a bit of a walk, and coffee, to clear my head a bit. I am just sick of waking up to all this horrible, negative, hateful, s***e on social media.
"Most of them faceless accounts that I am muting by the second but it is just horrible to read and see. And the news, you know my daughter came to me the other day and she was scared about going out because of everything that is going on in the streets in England.

"That is wrong man, how can we not all see that all we are is people? It's all we are. The actions of a few don't represent the rest. There are bad eggs in every single culture and we need to sort that out but the only way we do that is by coming together as people.
"I mean just put it simply, right? The majority of rapists are white males, so does that mean all white males are rapists? Obviously not, that would be stupid. Come on man, we can do better than this, this is a joke."
His comment section was left divided as one user slammed: "Majority of rapists are white males!!! What a ridiculous thing to say! Over 80% of the population are white!!! Pakistani men are massively overrepresented in rape offences AND all other crimes!"
Another disagreed: "You don’t understand the issue and you don’t understand statistics. It’s clear though that you mean well, posting from your leafy suburb."

"The majority of rapists are white men you say. Is that by numbers or by percentages based on the demographics of this country? Two very different outcomes on results I would strongly suspect," a third complained.
However, Mellor did have some supporters, as one praised: "Well said Will. There's a lot more that connects us than what divides us."
"My daughter is 32 and I fear for her safety every time she leaves the house," another admitted before a third expressed: "Well said. There are many more good people than fascists." (sic)
London's Metropolitan Police have threatened to come down on protesters with "every power, tactic and tool" to stave off "one of the worst spates of violent disorder in the last decade".
Andy Valentine, who leads the capital's policing operation, condemned "racist, thuggish and criminal behaviour across the country" and added: "We arrested more than 100 people in central London disorder last week - and we will not hesitate to arrest hundreds more if they take to the streets intent on fuelling violence."
