Victoria Beckham has posted a heartfelt tribute to her husband David on Instagram following the grand opening of Inter Miami's new £566.5 million Nu Stadium on Saturday evening.

The fashion designer, 51, shared photographs of the couple at the venue, including one showing her gazing adoringly at her beaming husband while holding hands.

The 50-year-old former England captain's MLS club hosted Austin FC at the new 26,700-capacity ground near Miami International Airport.

"What an incredible night last night!!! We couldn't be prouder @davidbeckham watching you turn your dream into reality inspires us all every day," she wrote on Sunday.

The Beckham family presented a united front at the ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to the match, with their three youngest children in attendance alongside their partners.

Romeo, 23, was accompanied by girlfriend Kim Turnbull, while Cruz, 21, brought his partner Jackie Apostel, 30. The couple's daughter Harper, 14, also joined the celebration.

Victoria opted for an oversized white suit with flared trousers and a light grey keyhole vest, completing the look with pointed heels.

David wore a navy suit featuring the Inter Miami crest embroidered on the blazer, paired with a white shirt and striped tie.

The evening's entertainment included a performance of the American national anthem by Latin singer Marc Anthony, a close friend of the family and godfather to Cruz.

Eldest son, Brooklyn, 27, was conspicuously absent from his father's landmark achievement, marking yet another major family occasion he has missed since becoming estranged from his parents.

The eldest Beckham child has skipped Christmas celebrations, birthdays and career milestones over the past year.

In January, the aspiring chef released a six-page statement directed at his parents in which he declared he had no desire to reconcile with his family and requested that any future communication be conducted through lawyers.

Despite Miami being approximately 3,000 miles from his Los Angeles home, Brooklyn chose not to attend the celebration.

The family rift stems partly from an incident at Brooklyn's wedding to Nicola Peltz, where singer Mr Anthony allegedly called for "the most beautiful woman in the room" to join him on stage.

Rather than referring to the bride, he invited Victoria forward, reportedly leaving Nicola in tears.

In his January statement, Brooklyn alleged that his mother "danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone" during the reception, claiming: "I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life."

Mr Anthony has since described the situation as "extremely unfortunate" and insisted the version of events being circulated was "hardly the truth."

Brooklyn appeared to further distance himself from his mother last month when he posted a gushing Mother's Day tribute to his mother-in-law, Claudia Heffner Peltz, without mentioning Victoria.
