Vicky Pattison poured her heart out on Instagram tonight after her emotional appearance on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, admitting she is “absolutely gutted” her ballroom journey has come to an end.
The former Geordie Shore star shared the message after speaking to host Janette Manrara on Wednesday, saying she tried to stay upbeat on air but could not hide how devastated she felt.
During the Strictly spin-off, Vicky grew visibly emotional when shown a montage of her time on the competition, wiping away tears as she reflected on her journey.
“I’ll never be able to put into words what Strictly meant to me… what meeting this lovely man meant,” she told viewers, referring to her professional partner Kai Widdrington.

After the broadcast, Vicky took to Instagram to share a heartfelt reflection on her exit.
“Our last It Takes Two… I tried really hard to be a little positive pigeon on tonight’s show as this experience has been one so full of joy… but I am absolutely gutted it’s over!” she wrote.
She praised Kai as “such a special person”, crediting him with transforming her into the “highest scoring female of the series".
Vicky added: "I have made friends for life and been so lucky to have had the journey I have.. and that was mostly down to this man right here," she continued.
"@kaiwidd you're such a special person and I'm so grateful for you... You turned an ironing board with arms into the highest scoring female of the series- and that is a true testament to your hard work, dedication and talent.
"Love you mate and I'm going to miss you.
"Love you all.. and Thank you as always for your kind words, support and lovely messages."
Ms Pattison ended her post with an apology to fans, writing: “I’m sorry if I let you down.”
Upon uploading the post, fans of the show and fellow celebrities flooded the comments to share their support for Vicky.
"You could never let anyone down!! You made us all so so proud, I’ve been bursting with pride every time you’ve taken to the dance floor", one fan wrote, while another penned: "Honestly, you were amazing."
Bake-off winner Candace Brown added: "No sorrys from you ever! You were everything darling."
The reality star's departure sparked a fierce reaction online, with some viewers branding it the “worst ever” exit.
Calls for her return have intensified following La Voix’s withdrawal from this week’s show due to injury, with fans urging bosses to “bend the rules” and bring Vicky back. Others, however, argued that she was “voted out for a reason” and warned against altering the show’s format.
Ms Pattison reflected on her personal transformation during tonight’s interview, saying the experience had proved she could achieve what she once thought impossible.
“If anybody puts their mind to something, steps outside their comfort zone, works hard and is kind… amazing things can happen,” she said.
Despite initially believing she would not make it past week one, Vicky went on to top the leaderboard with her near-perfect tango.
