The presenter split from former fiancé Ben in 2023 after 16 years together

Vanessa Feltz candidly admitted she doesn't want "to be alone" as she subtly addressed her split from former fiancé, singer Ben Ofoedu.

The two were together for 16 years before going their separate ways in January 2023 following allegations of Ofoedu's infidelity.

Former This Morning star Feltz, 63, reflected on several aspects of her personal life when she confessed she tries to be out and about most days.

When asked who controls the remote at her house, she replied: "Me. I live on my own these days.

"I’ve been out every night for two years and five months [since Feltz separated from Ofoedu].

"There have only been maybe five nights where it’s been me in front of the TV with my dinner on a tray, because I don’t want to be at home, eating alone."

When probed further about her TV habits, Fetlz told the Radio Times: "I'm watching The Gilded Age, but I’m not enjoying it much; it’s remarkably stilted and incredibly dull.

"I'm also persevering with And Just like That…which is also abysmal. And I’m watching Love Island."

"Thankfully my parents are dead, because they’d never forgive me," she quipped.

The admission comes not long after Feltz faced an Ofcom storm for a conversation on her new Channel 5 chat show.

The broadcasting regulator received 1,856 complaints about the June 10 episode, which featured a segment viewers deemed "misleading" regarding breastfeeding benefits.

A further 130 complaints were lodged about the June 13 broadcast, which included a follow-up breastfeeding discussion.

The controversy centres on comments made by fashion designer Karen Millen during the earlier programme, where she claimed there was "no benefit" to breastfeeding children beyond six months.

The complaints have reportedly triggered emergency discussions amongst Channel 5 executives about the show's future.

During the controversial segment, Millen stated: "There's no benefit, is there, for a child to be breastfed beyond six months really."

She added: "I think it's quite a selfish thing on the mother's part."

When pressed to elaborate, she continued: "I just think that's not good emotionally for that child. I mean, what does that child do later in life?

Her remarks sparked immediate backlash from viewers who criticised her lack of expertise on the subject.

Following the backlash, the guest issued an apology, acknowledging the upset caused.

"I know I've upset a lot of your viewers and that was not my intention," she shared. However, she maintained her position was specifically about three-year-olds being breastfed.
