Black Sabbath star Ozzy, 76, had been married to Sharon, 72, since 1982

Sharon Osbourne's close friends are said to be concerned for the 72-year-old, who has just started her grief journey after losing her husband of more than four decades, Ozzy, this Tuesday.

The former X Factor judge shared in a statement issued by all of the Osbournes earlier this week that "it is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning."

Osbourne had been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2019 and also lived with a number of other health complications, such as neck and back issues, nerve damage, and internal organ problems.

Despite his ill health, Ozzy made it back to the UK from Los Angeles mere weeks ago to perform in his Black Sabbath farewell gig.

He was seated during the epic performance, and while viewers noted his frailer appearance, his death just weeks later shook the music and entertainment world.

Sharon had been making arrangements for the couple's permanent move back to the UK and had been caring for her ailing husband, but the death on Tuesday morning was unexpected.

Speaking for the first time since the news, Sharon's close friend raised concerns about the popular music manager.

They explained she was "fragile" and "very thin," and expressed concerns as to how the grieving wife would be coping with the immense loss.

Ozzy Osbourne died earlier this week at the age of 76

"In the end, he died peacefully at home with all the family with him," an insider shared.

"It's a lovely house, and Sharon wanted to bring him back from LA. I don’t know if she will feel strong enough to have a big memorial for all the people who want to say goodbye to him."

Sharing potential funeral arrangements, they told MailOnline: "We think she may want to bury him privately at home, in the garden. This is what Sandra Cash, the widow of rock guitarist Jeff Beck, did for her husband when he died suddenly of bacterial meningitis in January 2023."

A worried friend told the publication: "Sharon is very, very fragile. She is so thin. She is not well."

Sharon Osbourne has been described as 'very thin' by worried friends

"They were each other’s best friend. We don't know what she will do or how she will cope," they stated.

Sharon, who opened up last year about her health issues following weight loss drug Ozempic use, has suffered in the past with bulimia.

She once shared how, during a brief separation from Ozzy after he cheated on her in 2016, she took an overdose.

"I took, I don’t know how many pills. I just thought, 'My kids are older, they are fine and can take care of themselves.' So I took an overdose and locked myself in the bedroom. The maid tried to come in to clean the room and saw me."
