The former X Factor judge and her family are marking the first of Ozzy's birthdays without him

Sharon Osbourne has been inundated with messages of support after she took to social media to pay tribute to her late husband and Black Sabbath legend, Ozzy Osbourne.

The 'Price of Darkness' died on July 22, surrounded by his family. His cause of death was cited as a heart attack, with his battle with Parkinson's among the associated factors.

Following his death, the music world and fans across the globe went into mourning, and today, on what would've been his 77th birthday, many have spoken out to pay their respects yet again.

Sharon led the way, taking to Instagram to share a video compilation of her and Ozzy's life in the spotlight alongside a touching statement.

The clip also included footage of Black Sabbath bridge in his hometown of Birmingham, showing it adorned with the floral tributes that were left after his death.

In the accompanying caption of her birthday post, Sharon wrote: "My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born.

"I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side."

Inevitably, fans flocked to the comments section of the social media update, with tearful emojis aplenty. "Happy Birthday Ozzy we miss you... we love you Sharon you’re making him proud xxx," one fan penned. (sic)

"Happy Birthday Ozzy, don't party too hard with the angels up there," a second weighed in before a third typed: "It's not the same knowing he isn't around with his humour, smile, and music. What a lovely man and talent he was."

Elsewhere, a fourth commented: "Keep on making him proud everyday. I hope you can take comfort in that Ozzy is with his friends especially Randy. I am sending you and your family so so much love, strength and light during this time and always. Find a way to celebrate him today. He is always with you and in your heart. Happy heavenly birthday Ozzy."

"Dearest Sharon… thinking of you all… much love," a fifth added, while a sixth echoed: "Thinking of you guys. Sending so much love. HBD Ozzy." (sic)

Sharon wasn't the only member of the Osbourne clan to speak out on the singer's first posthumous birthday. Their daughter Kelly also used social media to candidly share her grief struggle.

"I have not slept. I miss him so much," Kelly typed on Instagram, alongside a snap of her sitting on a bench on the aforementioned Black Sabbath Bridge.

She followed this up with a message to her younger brother, Jack, who's currently competing in the jungle on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.

"I can't lie today is really hard without my brother," she penned on a snap of her and Jack as children. "I would give anything to just be able to talk to him! However, he needs to keep kicking butt in the jungle." (sic)

Jack may not be able to be with his family to mark the milestone event, but he has mentioned his father's passing since he jetted Down Under for the show.

"It was definitely a shock," Jack said of Ozzy's death during a heartfelt chat with campmate Lisa Riley earlier this series.

"I mean, we knew he was sick for a while, but it was definitely a shock, I mean, we didn’t know it would be that quick. It was the ultimate mic drop, he did a massive big gig and was like, alright I’m done."

On what he thought his father's reaction to him taking part in the ITV reality show would have been, he added: "He'd be so supportive of this."

Kelly has been one of Jack's biggest supporters since he entered the jungle. In one instance, she was visibly emotional when she addressed the scenes of her brother failing to receive his letter from home.

She said in an Instagram video: "I just want to say thank you to everyone who voted to keep Jack in the jungle, he's doing really well. He's doing so well. I'm so sad he didn't get his letter from the family. But he took it really, really well. But I'm even more sad Eddie [Kadi's] left the jungle cause I loved Eddie. This sucks."

Kelly also took issue with the now-eliminated Kelly Brook for her conduct in the camp towards her younger sibling.

In a separate video, Kelly fumed: "Is it just me, or is she really annoying? Kelly Brook… I don't think I like you. Elbowing out of the way to get to the fish. You're so performative, with all the gagging and the over‑dramatics. You bring out my big sister vibes, where I want to attack you because I feel like you're a bit of a bully."

Kelly was referring to one of many disputes Ms Brook and Jack found themselves involved in, thanks to kitchen duties in the camp.
