The Take That singer has had his say on the hotly-anticipated tour

Robbie Williams couldn't resist a pop at long-time music rival Noel Gallagher when discussing the upcoming Oasis reunion tour.

Take That's Williams and the Gallagher brothers were three of the country's biggest music stars in the 1990s and 2000s but it's safe to say they didn't see eye to eye.

Their ancient feud resulted in a rather memorable spat at the 2000 BRIT Awards after Williams was branded "that fat dancer from Take That" by the Mancunian duo.

Williams also took to the stage to egg on the crowd as he asked if "anyone would like to see him fight Liam".

The Rock DJ singer then said down the camera: "Liam, £100,000 of your money, £100,000 of my money, we'll get in the ring, we'll have a fight, and you can all watch it on TV. What do you think about that?"

A few months later at the Q Awards, the younger Gallagher brother addressed the spat when he warned Williams to "choose your wars" when accepting an award.

15 years on from when Oasis disbanded, the Gallagher brothers have put their own feud aside to return to the stage for a string of dates in 2025.

Their reunion tour hasn't been without its controversies already though, with fans outraged by "dynamic pricing" of tickets and the exhausting wait times to try and purchase the sought-after spots.

Due to the exceptional demand, Oasis announced an extra few shows earlier this week, prompting some fans to "work out" who may be supporting the band.

Meanwhile, Williams has been sharing his thoughts on the entire reunion saga - and actually had some kind words to say about the upcoming gigs.

"The soap opera alone will either be exciting and or ghoulish to watch," Williams said on a recent podcast, according to the Mirror.

He added: "As for the shows? They’re gonna be incredible, off-the-scale special. Oasis getting back together is going to be a healing moment for our country.

"Liam Gallagher reading his phone on the toilet would be more charismatic and intriguing than 99.9 percent of the world’s population at their most enigmatic.

"All he has to do is stand there and sing for the audience to be guaranteed their money’s worth."

Taking a pop at the older Gallagher brother, Williams couldn't resist revisiting their spat as he joked: "Noel will be there too."

Williams' comments emerged at the same time as Oasis announced they'd be adding two extra shows to the Wembley leg of their tour next year.

In an attempt to appease the backlash received for their ticket sales fiasco, the band has said there will be a staggered "special invitation-only ballot ticket sale strategy".

This approach will be "a small step towards making amends for the situation", the band has claimed.

Oasis also defended their part in the pricing of tickets, saying in a statement that it needed "to be made clear" the band "leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used".

The statement continued: "Inevitably interest in this tour is so overwhelming that it's impossible to schedule enough shows to fulfil public demand.

"But this ticket sale strategy will make the process far smoother for fans by reducing the stress and time it takes to obtain one of the hottest tickets of our time."
