Paloma Faith has been admitted to the hospital after falling ill with Flu A during her pregnancy.

The 44-year-old vocalist, currently 23 weeks along with her third child, posted an image from Homerton Hospital showing herself wearing a nebuliser mask to aid her breathing.

"Thanks Homerton Hospital for nebulising me for flu," the Celebrity Traitors star wrote on social media on Sunday, accompanying the post with Toni Braxton's track Breathe Again. (sic)

This will be her first baby with boyfriend Stevie Thomas, a managing director at Birmingham music venue The JamHouse.

Hours after her hospital update, Ms Faith shared black and white photographs displaying her growing bump alongside a candid admission about her age.

"Pregnancy at 44. Ngl that's a bit worrying but I'm trying to pretend to myself I'm calm so that eventually that comes true," she wrote.

"I couldn't be more happy about another baby and I'm bracing myself for the storm...."

The post drew supportive responses from fellow celebrities, with comedian Alan Carr leaving three red heart emojis and actress Sheridan Smith commenting: "Love this."

"Your so beautiful," penned This Morning's Alison Hammond, while former Strictly star Vicky Pattison weighed in: "Congratulations beautiful." (sic)

When announcing her pregnancy in October, Ms Faith had used hashtags including #morethangeriatricpregnancy and #oappregnancy.

Ms Faith has been in a relationship with Mr Thomas for approximately a year, with reports emerging earlier this year that the pair were dating after he accompanied her to a Brit Awards afterparty.

The singer already has two daughters from her previous nine-year relationship with Leyman Lahcine.

Her first child arrived in December 2016, followed by a second daughter in February 2021.

Ms Faith and Mr Lahcine separated in 2023, with the performer later reflecting on how motherhood changed her needs within the relationship.

"Becoming a mother was such a massively life-changing experience that for the first time in my life, I needed more than nothing," she previously explained, adding that their relationship ultimately ended because of having children, which she considered "worth it."

Ms Faith has spoken openly about her challenging path to motherhood, having conceived both her existing children through IVF treatment.

Before welcoming her daughters, she underwent six rounds of IVF, experiencing both an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage.

The latter occurred while filming the television series Pennyworth in 2019, where she played the character Bet Sykes.

The birth of her first child proved particularly traumatic.

After experiencing premature rupture of membranes at six months, Ms Faith spent a month on bed rest before enduring 21 hours of labour with minimal sleep.

"I had seven hours of sleep in seven days," she recalled, explaining that an emergency caesarean followed, which subsequently caused fertility complications and post-partum psychosis.
