The Chandler Bing actor was found dead at his Los Angeles home over the weekend

Tributes from a number of Matthew Perry's Friends co-stars have flooded in following the tragic news the actor has died at the age of 54.

Perry, who shot to global stardom as the sarcastic and lovable Chandler Bing in the Emmy-winning sitcom, was found in a hot-tub at his home after reportedly "drowning".

Tributes from fans across the globe have since been paid to the actor following his death, with several praising the actor for his hilarious on-screen antics as well as his candor regarding his battles with addiction.

Perry was vocal about his struggles with alcoholism and anxiety during his life in the spotlight, leading him to admit he avoided watching old episodes of Friends when he was alive.

Following the news of his death, several actors who featured alongside Perry in those classic episodes of the hit comedy have shared their reactions to his passing.

Maggie Wheeler, who took on the iconic role of Chandler's on-off - and irritable - girlfriend Janice throughout the series took to Instagram with an old photo of Janice and Chandler together.

"He was lovely to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after. Please read his book. It was his legacy to help. He won’t rest in peace though.. He’s already too busy making everyone laugh up there."

Actor Selma Blair portrayed the character Wendy in season nine's The One with Christmas in Tulsa as one of Chandler's flirtatious colleagues.

She added on Instagram: "My oldest boy friend. All of us loved Matthew Perry, and I did especially. Every day. I loved him unconditionally. And he me. And I’m broken. Broken hearted. Sweet dreams Matty. Sweet dreams."

Chandler's mum Nora Bing was portrayed by Morgan Fairchild. She took to X to share: "I’m heartbroken about the untimely death of my 'son', Matthew Perry.

"The loss of such a brilliant young actor is a shock. I’m sending love & condolences to his friends & family, especially his dad, John Bennett Perry, who I worked with on Flamingo Road & Falcon Crest. #RIPMatthew."

Another Friends star to pay tribute on X was Bonnie Somerville, who played Ross Gellar’s (David Schwimmer) girlfriend Mona.

She admitted she was "heartbroken" before sharing a link to a famous Halloween episode in which she starred alongside Perry.
