Veteran television actor Kelsey Grammer has welcomed his eighth child at the age of 70, announcing the arrival during a podcast recording on Monday.
The Frasier star disclosed that his wife, Kayte Walsh, 46, had given birth to their son Christopher just three days before his appearance on Pod Meets World.
"Just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids," Mr Grammer told hosts Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong whilst discussing his memoir about his late sister.
The Emmy-winning performer confirmed the timing, stating: "It was like three days ago. Christopher, that's just joined the family."

The newborn joins three siblings from Mr Grammer's marriage to Ms Walsh, whom he wed in February 2011 at New York City's Plaza Hotel.
Their eldest child together, daughter Faith, is now 12 years old, whilst sons Gabriel and James are 10 and eight, respectively.
Ms Walsh, a former flight attendant who met Mr Grammer during a transatlantic flight in 2009, has given birth to all four children during their 13-year marriage.
The couple's expanding family represents Mr Grammer's second set of children, with the actor having previously fathered four offspring who are now adults.

Christopher's arrival makes Mr Grammer a father of eight across a remarkable age span of more than four decades.
Mr Grammer's four grown-up children come from three different relationships spanning several decades.
His eldest, Spencer, aged 41, was born during his marriage to his first wife, Doreen Alderman, which ended in 1990.
The actor subsequently fathered Greer, now 33, with former partner Barrie Buckner in the early 1990s.

His third marriage to television personality Camille Meyer produced two more offspring: Mason, 23, and Jude, 20.
Both Spencer and Greer have pursued acting careers, with Spencer appearing in the animated series Rick & Morty, whilst Greer featured in the television programme Awkward.
The significant age gap between Mr Grammer's oldest and youngest children now stretches across 41 years.
News of Ms Walsh's pregnancy emerged in June when photographers captured the expectant couple strolling through a London park, with her baby bump visible beneath her navy dress.

Prior to the pregnancy announcement, Mr Grammer had spoken candidly about his parenting journey, acknowledging past shortcomings with his eldest children.
"I have neglected a couple of the kids in my life, especially the first two," he admitted in May. "I'm trying to make up for a little of it now."
The actor expressed determination to approach parenting differently with his younger children, emphasising clearer expectations and better preparation for life.
A source close to the couple suggested the unexpected pregnancy had "reignited a spark" in their marriage.
