Jeremy Clarkson has been hailed for his “absolutely huge” impact on British farming by farmer and author Adam Henson.
Speaking to GB News' Entertainment Editor Alex Davies at Farm Fest in Warwickshire, the Countryfile star celebrated raising awareness of British agriculture.
Alex asked Mr Henson whether the former star’s Amazon show, Clarkson’s Farm, has helped bring the industry's issues to mass attention.
“He (Jeremy Clarkson) has had an absolutely huge impact,” he said.
“A new generation of people watching farming made an awful lot of fun. There's a huge amount of pantomime behind it.”
Mr Henson also celebrated the show for highlighting “some of the incredible difficulties farmers have in trying to produce good quality food".
“It showed the amount of energy, effort and money we spend trying to produce great food," he added.
While the Countryfile star was speaking about Clarkson’s Farm, the man himself was taking part in a Ford Ranger pickup truck slalom challenge with sidekick Caleb Cooper just behind them.

Explaining to Alex further the pressures on British farming, Mr Henson insisted “we all need to understand where our food comes from".
He said: “You eat three times a day or maybe more. And that connection with where our food comes from is somewhat lost.
“A lot of programmes on television or various social channels are trying to improve that, and it's absolutely essential.”
To that end, Mr Henson called on shoppers to always look out for British produce.

“Just try and support British farming because we do produce some of the best food in the world."
