The star recently took an emergency trip to the hospital and was told he was ‘days away’ from a heart attack
Jeremy Clarkson has hit back at some backlash he has received since revealing his hospital dash and emergency operation to have stents fitted.
The 63-year-old revealed over the weekend that he noticed symptoms of tightness in his chest and clamminess before making his way to the hospital.
Opening up about the scary moment in his Sunday Times column, he shared: “I woke on Wednesday morning not feeling too good. I was clammy and there was a tightness in my chest.
“Naturally, I ignored these things and, after loading 30 pigs into the slaughterhouse school bus, I noticed that I had pins and needles in my left arm.
“They then took blood and X-rayed me and wheeled in a vast range of portable machines that go ping.”
After having some tests, Clarkson revealed the team had decided he wasn’t having a heart attack, although the doctor didn’t set his mind at ease after revealing he could have had just days to live.

Much to fans' relief, Clarkson revealed that the procedure was successful, allowing him to avoid an emergency heart bypass and leave the hospital the next morning.
However, since the news of his recent health scare was revealed, the star has received some cruel comments from fans on his social media.
One comment read: “Now he seems to have had a heart attack, and needed surgery what does he expect eating all that meat? He can’t be surprised!"
In true Clarkson style, he instantly replied and hit back: “Better than dying of vegetable-induced boredom.”
Kaleb Cooper assured fans that Clarkson was on the mend
Several fans loved the sassy comeback, leaving one to comment: “Classic Clarkson,” before a second said: “Get well and then stay well please. Ignore all the cobblers.”
Clarkson was inundated with support from fans and recently told The Sun: ”I'm very grateful to everyone who sent supportive messages but I’m fine.
"I just have to not do any manual labour or dishwasher emptying for the next four years. At least I think that’s what the doctor said."
His co-star and friend Kaleb Cooper also recently assured fans that the presenter is on the mend during an interview with Captial Breakfast hosts Sian Welby and Jordan North.
Welby asked: “There's a real father-son kind of vibe with you two in that way. I love that it's not just for the cameras, you are friends, aren't you?
“And we've obviously all seen the news today about him being unwell at the minute. Have you been checking in and seeing if he's alright?"
