Jamie Laing has been criticised by parenting influencers following an Instagram post in which he celebrated his wife Sophie Habboo for putting together a "magical Christmas" just three weeks after the birth of their son.
The former Made in Chelsea star shared footage of Ms Habboo cuddling their newborn baby Ziggy before adding final touches to their festive dining table.
Accompanying the video, Mr Laing wrote: "POV: your wife is 3 weeks postpartum and still creates a magical Christmas, before adding "Superwoman."
While certain followers commended the 36-year-old for acknowledging his wife's efforts, others took issue with the message.
One commenter responded: "This is lovely but also let's not normalise post partum women being 'superwoman' it's not normal."
Additional critics argued that the post placed unfair pressure on mothers who have recently given birth, suggesting it created standards that most women cannot realistically meet.
One follower wrote: "I normally love your content, but this is an insensitive post and sets an unrealistic expectation/pressure on other new mothers. Not everyone has the money, resources and support to be able to do this."
Someone else added: "Hey guys. If you’re 3 weeks postpartum and feel like death warmed up still. That’s okay too. You are also superwoman AND your body is doing A LOT. You’ve got this."

Jamie Laing's wife Sophie Habboo gave birth to their first child just three weeks ago
|"This is super unrealistic and contributes to a problem that causes post-partum women to suffer," another pointed out.
Several commenters pointed out that the couple's financial situation differs vastly from most families, with Mr Laing and Ms Habboo, 31, having recently relocated to a £12million property ahead of welcoming their first child.
Other followers questioned whether the couple had received assistance from outside sources during the festive period.
One commenter urged the couple to be more forthcoming about their circumstances, writing: "Good she is recovering but be honest with your posts. You've paid someone to do this and got a chef in to do everything."

Jamie Laing labelled his wife 'superwoman' for organising Christmas just three weeks after giving brith
|The same follower continued: "If you had a caterer (family members) helping please say so. Not detracting but keep it real for those not able to get near this. Life not a competition but it can feel like it is. Wishing you all health and happiness on your journey with Ziggy."
Another noted: "Respectfully, why haven't you stepped up and organized Christmas when your wife is 3 weeks postpartum? This is not the Flex you think it is." (sic)
The calls for transparency reflected broader concerns that social media posts from wealthy couples can create misleading impressions about what new parents should be capable of achieving.
Following the arrival of baby Ziggy earlier this month, the couple checked into what has been described as the UK's leading postpartum wellness retreat.
Mr Laing and Ms Habboo kept their followers informed throughout the pregnancy journey, documenting their preparations for parenthood on social media.
The pair's relationship began several years ago, with Laing proposing at the Rosewood London hotel in December 2021 – the same venue where they had shared their first date.
They married in a civil ceremony in London in April 2023, surrounded by close friends and family members.
The couple subsequently held a larger celebration in Marbella the following month.
