Shona McGarty has come under fire from I'm a Celebrity viewers after they expressed outrage when she misled campmates about completing her assigned duties.
The controversy erupted when ITV2’s spin-off programme Unpacked aired previously unseen clips from the jungle.
The footage revealed Kelly Brook struggling alone with the camp’s water supply task, a demanding job involving heavy lifting that was supposed to be shared between her and Ms McGarty.
Viewers took to social media after watching the 46-year-old model repeatedly carry water buckets while the 34-year-old former soap star was nowhere to be seen.

The unseen clips then showed Ms Wax directly confronting Ms McGarty at the campfire. “Shona, were you on water duty?” she asked.
When Ms McGarty confirmed she was, Ms Wax replied: “I didn't know that. I didn't think you were on water duty. You weren't seen.”
The model claimed she was “doing the weights”, miming a lifting motion, but Ms Wax responded: “I've never seen Shona do the water.” Emmerdale star Lisa Riley backed up her observation.

The footage also showed Ms McGarty praising Ms Brook’s efforts in the Bush Telegraph, saying: “I think Kelly’s getting on really well. Every time I turn around, there's new water on the boil. So, yeah, she’s smashing it.”
The clip then cut to Ms McGarty yawning while Ms Brook worked, before showing her asleep as Ms Brook carried water in the dark.
During Thursday night’s episode, Ms McGarty revealed she had recently ended her engagement to musician David Bracken.
The emotional moment came after campmates began discussing marriages and proposals.

When rapper Aitch spoke about fans proposing to him and Ms Brook mentioned her multiple engagements, Ms McGarty quietly walked away.
She later told Tom Read Wilson while washing dishes: “I just couldn't be part of that conversation. When I came in, I had just broken up with my fiancé. So I just walked away.”
Ms McGarty and Mr Bracken, a guitarist with Irish band Blessed, got engaged in 2024 after meeting through social media the previous year.
Their split happened shortly before Ms McGarty travelled to the Australian jungle for the ITV reality series.
She became tearful as she opened up to Mr Read Wilson about her hopes for the future.
“I really want a family. I’d love to be a mummy, and a wife,” she said.
Mr Read Wilson offered reassurance, telling her: “Focus on you now, what turns you on in your talents. People in your orbit will celebrate you and your orbit will grow, and one day by accident, somewhere in that orbit will be that person.”
He added: “You are a raving beauty,” prompting an emotional reaction from Ms McGarty.
Reflecting later in the Bush Telegraph, she said: “When you're not feeling great, to have Tom in camp is such a blessing. If I wanna open my heart, he gives the best advice.”

Ms McGarty’s relationship with Mr Bracken began when he contacted her on TikTok to propose a musical collaboration.
They met in person in 2023, and he proposed at Kyoto Garden in Holland Park the following year.
The actress previously dated EastEnders co-stars Matt Lapinskas between 2011 and 2013, and Max Bowden for six months in 2022.
She was also engaged to electrician Ryan Harris from 2018 to 2020.
Despite the recent split, Mr Bracken publicly supported her jungle stint, posting an encouraging message online after her arrival.
Meanwhile, romance rumours have begun circulating between Ms McGarty and fellow campmate Aitch, who admitted having a “soft spot” for her in a conversation with AngryGinge.
