Coronation Street legend Charlie Lawson has been rushed back to hospital after experiencing falls and walking difficulties just days after his initial admission.
The 65-year-old actor, best known for playing Jim McDonald on the ITV soap, shared his health concerns with fans on social media and admitted he had been suffering from "great pain" and is currently unable to walk properly.
The soap star admitted "something seriously gone wrong" as he awaits specialist treatment and explained that he was currently in Macclesfield Hospital awaiting transfer to a specialist unit.
Posting on his Instagram story and X, he said: "Whey up folks from a rather, well, I don't know.
"It was rather nice when I came in, but here I am again in special day care in Macclesfield hospital, waiting to see an osteopath and hopefully getting a transfer to Salford Royal to the spinal unit.
"That's the plan. I was talking to you last time from the same cubicle, and I ended up back at home at half 10 at night, so we shall wait and see.

"But I'm fine, I just simply can't walk properly. I'm in great pain, and I can't stand on my tiptoes now, so this is very comfortable [in the bed], but if I stand up, I just fall over.
"So there is something seriously going wrong, so I will keep you posted! See you now!"
Lawson was initially taken to the hospital earlier this week after his physiotherapist sent him straight to A&E after he had fallen twice, prompting urgent medical attention.
He underwent an MRI scan and was waiting for results before being "whisked back in for more examinations."

Lawson responded: "Me too! I just need a bloody date for The Salford Royal."
Another fan commented: "Sending you lots of good Irish luck and blessings from home!! Hopefully you will be back on your feet (literally) in no time!!"
A third added: "Look after yourself, Charlie. You'll be back walking your dog in the Countryside soon."
Lawson captioned his latest health update with "Encore une fois!!!" which translates to "one more time" in French.
