Hugh Jackman announces shock split from partner Deborra-lee after 27 years of marriage

Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-lee have announced their separation after 27 years of marriage together.
The couple, who share two children together, have reportedly parted ways amicably.
The pair parted ways "with gratitude, love, and kindness", according to PEOPLE magazine.
"We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth," the couple said in a statement.
The pair said this was the final statement either of them would make on the matter.

"Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."
They signed off the statement as "Deb and Hugh Jackman".
The pair said this was the final statement either of them would make on the matter.
Hugh and Deborra-Lee share two children together; Oscar, 23 and Ava, 18.
The former couple met in 1995 on the set of Australian show Corelli.
The co-stars quickly fell head over heels for one another and were wed by the following year.
Reminiscing on their first encounter, Hugh told PEOPLE: "Deb, she was a big star…I get picked up, and Deb is in the front seat of the car. I’ll never forget,” Hugh, 54, told PEOPLE in 2017 of their first meeting.
"She took off her seatbelt and she turned around and put out her hand and took off her sunglasses and said, ‘Hi, I’m Deborra-lee Furness, nice to meet you.’ I remember thinking, ‘I like this girl."

Hugh is 13 years Deborra-Lee's junior, and the two have said since they wed, they have never spent more than two weeks apart.
In April, Hugh took to social media to celebrate the pair's 27th wedding anniversary.
"I love you Deb. Today is our 27th wedding anniversary. 27 years! I love you so much," the 54-year-old actor posted to his 79.1 million Instagram followers.
They are the latest high-profile couple to split.
Last week, Actor Al Pacino, 83, reportedly split from girlfriend Noor Alfallah - three months after she gave birth to their son.
