The Hair Bikers Instagram page issued a devastating update today after they discovered someone had been scamming Dave Myers’ fans.
After struggling with cancer for two years, Myers’ family were left distraught after the star died surrounded by them and his best friend and co-star Si King.
Yesterday, Myers’ wife Liliana Orzec issued an update on how she and her family were coping since the loss – opening up on her grief.
However, just 24 hours after the update was issued, the Hairy Bikers Instagram account warned their followers someone had falsely posed as King in order to scam people.
Posting on their story, they wrote: “Hello everyone, It’s come to our attention that someone has set up a fake ‘Si King’ profile asking for donations for Dave’s family.
“This is a scam so please avoid clicking on anything or giving out any personal information. Please block and report the page.
“We are aware of the situation and are working to get it resolved. HB Team.”
Orzec posted an image of herself and Myers yesterday and posted a lengthy caption: “I will never be able to thank you all enough for the massive wave of love, compassion and care that you have shown towards me, Simon and our families in these past days since Dave passed.
“I want you all to know that I have read every single message and comment that you sent… your stories about Dave, your feelings you shared with me mean a lot and my heart is filled with gratitude and love.
“It amazes me how many hearts he touched and how many people wanted to express their love for what Dave and Si have created for nearly 20 years.

She continued: “My husband, David Myers was a larger-than-life character and he did everything with passion, enthusiasm and generosity of spirit. His energy was endless when it came to cooking and talking recipes, or biking and talking bikes.
“An amazing storyteller! And through his stories and TV appearances, he was constantly inspiring and encouraging people to cook, travel, to live their life to the fullest.
“An exceptional husband, wonderful stepdad, loyal friend and in his own words, a creator, never a follower.
