Fans are keen to see if the UK can score any points during this year’s contest

Eurovision has released first look images of the United Kingdom's entry, Remember Monday, ahead of their performance at the 69th contest on May 17.

The images show the country music trio dressed in colourful costumes as they prepare to perform their song What The Hell Just Happened? in Basel, Switzerland.

The staging features blue strobe lighting across the performance area, with a giant chandelier and large candles being partially seen in the background of the images.

The official Eurovision account shared the images with the caption: "You won't BELIEVE what just happened here. United Kingdom / Remember Monday - What The Hell Just Happened?"

The first look snaps reveal the trio sporting eye-catching pastel outfits in yellow, blue and pink with their hopes being high of placing in the top spot on the leaderboard.

In the images, Lauren Byrne dazzles in glittering blue flared trousers paired with a corset-style long-sleeved top that flows into a mesh mini skirt.

Charlotte Steele and Holly-Anne Hull are wearing matching corset tops in yellow and pink, respectively.

Steele completed her ensemble with knee-high heeled boots, whilst Hull opted for chunky stilettos to round off her look.

The coordinated pastel colour scheme creates a vibrant visual impact on stage, complementing the dramatic lighting and set design.

Fans have reacted enthusiastically to the first glimpse of Remember Monday's Eurovision staging, as one supported:“People don't realise it, but we are gunning for a top 10 result."

Another compared the aesthetic to a "Disney live action movie,” before several fans appreciated the colour scheme, with one noting: "Nice throwback to the yellow/blue/pink palette of Eurovision in Liverpool."

Others praised the production values, describing it as a "West End theatre level masterpiece,” whilst others appreciated the teasing nature of the reveal.

One expressed: "Keeping it a secret for even longer... Hehe I like it. Chandelier looks fantastic."

Remember Monday has made a bold promise regarding their Eurovision performance outcome and recently claimed they will all get "WTHJH" tattoos if they place in the top five at the competition.

Interestingly, they've also vowed to get the same tattoo if they receive nil points, something which Eurovision host Graham Norton didn’t seem impressed by.

During a special Eurovision show, he noted: “I have heard that if you're top five, that you and all the team are getting a matching tattoo!"

"Just a small WTHJH, you can have it wherever you like!" Byrne revealed before playfully suggesting that Norton should join in, however, he firmly declined.

He joked: "I won't be getting it, I'm telling you now. You can win, and I won't be getting it!"
