Amazon’s official description teases a season of big changes and new challenges at Diddly Squat Farm. With Kaleb Cooper embarking on a nationwide tour and Lisa Hogan launching a new product line, Jeremy Clarkson is left to manage the farm on his own.
In Kaleb’s absence, Jeremy must devise new strategies to keep the farm afloat, which leads him to consider buying a pub as a way to draw crowds away from the ever-busy farm shop — and finally get the local council off his back.

"However, the road to becoming a pub landlord isn’t straightforward either. Jeremy faces obstacles including derelict buildings, red tape, and a picnic site with a colourful past. Cheerful Charlie lends a hand, but even he isn’t prepared for the challenges that arise once Jeremy finds his perfect pub," the synopsis reads.
Previously thwarted in his attempts to open a Farm to Fork restaurant, Clarkson's Farm 4 will see the ex-Top Gear presenter open his own pub to serve beer and food from Diddly Squat

"Back at Diddly Squat, the Lamborghini tractor is showing its age, and there’s a menagerie of livestock to manage. Mother nature conspires to make this one of the toughest years ever for British farmers, but when the whole gang pulls together, anything is possible," it adds.
Returning favourites include Kaleb, Lisa, Gerald, and “Cheerful” Charlie, alongside new faces in the rural Oxfordshire setting.

Across its first three seasons, Clarkson’s Farm has established itself as one of the UK’s most talked-about factual series, praised for its candid, often hilarious portrayal of rural life and the realities of British agriculture.
Season 1 (2021): From Zero to Farmer
The show’s debut chronicled Jeremy Clarkson’s leap from motoring journalist to novice farmer, as he took charge of Diddly Squat Farm. Viewers watched as Clarkson grappled with the basics of crop rotation, livestock care, and the brutal economics of farming, often with disastrous but entertaining results. The season was lauded for its authenticity and humour, with The Times remarking on Clarkson’s genuine progress and the show’s ability to make farming accessible and entertaining to a mainstream audience.

Season 2 (2023): Red Tape and Rural Realities
Season two delved deeper into the bureaucratic challenges facing farmers. Clarkson’s ambitious plans to open a farm restaurant and diversify into cattle were met with fierce resistance from local authorities and a thicket of regulations. The Sunday Times and The Times both highlighted the show’s honest depiction of farming’s financial hardships, with one headline noting that many family farms are “barely breakeven” and that “all land owners should produce food where they can but we need to make a profit and pay rent”. The series was praised for shining a light on the “absurd” and “shortsighted” obstacles farmers face, with The Telegraph and Daily Mail reporting on the groundswell of support from the farming community after Clarkson’s restaurant plans were rejected.

Season 3 (2024): Heartbreak, Hope, and Community
The third season, released in May 2024, balanced moments of levity with genuine hardship. Clarkson and Lisa Hogan’s foray into pig farming ended in heartbreak, while Gerald’s cancer diagnosis brought the team closer together. The farm’s ongoing battles with planning authorities continued, but there were also victories, including a successful food van and shop. The Guardian has previously praised the series for being “a love letter to British farming, warts and all,” and The Times has noted Clarkson’s evolution from bumbling outsider to a more competent and compassionate farmer, even as he continues to bring his trademark irreverence to the screen.
Clarkson’s Farm has been widely recognised for its impact on public perceptions of farming. The Sunday Times reported that Clarkson was named “Farming Champion of the Year” by the National Farmers Union, reflecting the show’s influence and the respect it has earned within the agricultural community. The Guardian described the series as “game-changing,” while The Telegraph and Daily Mail highlighted its role in sparking national conversations about the challenges and triumphs of rural Britain.
With each season, Clarkson’s Farm has deepened its reputation as a rare blend of entertainment and education, celebrated for its honesty, humour, and heartfelt depiction of life on the land.
As well as the impact of spiralling inflation and scorching weather, the season 3 of Clarkson's Farm will see The Grand Tour and Top Gear presenter attempt to raise pigs with farmer Kaleb Cooper for the first time on the documentary series
