Celine Dion has added to the long list of tributes paid to celebrated R&B vocalist Peabo Bryson.
The American singer, 75, passed away on Tuesday evening, just days after suffering a stroke, according to a statement released by his family.
Mr Bryson became a household name through his duet with Ms Dion on the title track from the 1991 animated film Beauty and the Beast, and his collaboration with Regina Belle on A Whole New World from Aladdin the following year.
Both recordings earned him Grammy Awards in the Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals category, in 1992 and 1994, respectively.

Ms Dion paid tribute to her former collaborator in an emotional Instagram post shared with her 11.2 million followers on Wednesday.
The French-Canadian star, now 58, posted a photograph of the pair together at the American Music Awards.
"I'm heartbroken to hear that we lost Peabo Bryson today," she wrote. "His incredible voice and his kind spirit embodied the beauty of song and performance."
The five-time Grammy winner reflected warmly on their recording sessions together more than three decades ago.

"He was so wonderful and generous to me all those years ago, when we recorded Beauty And The Beast," Dion continued.
"He made me so comfortable, as I was just learning to sing in English."
Mr Bryson's family expressed solace in the outpouring of love for the singer, whose voice had accompanied countless listeners through significant life moments.
"While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing how deeply Peabo was loved and how many lives were touched by his voice and his generous spirit," the family's statement read.

They described how his remarkable vocal talent had provided the musical backdrop to treasured occasions across more than 50 years.
"His music carried generations through joyful celebrations, great love stories and enduring moments of comfort and inspiration," the statement continued.
The family added that his artistic legacy would endure for future generations.
Mr Bryson grew up in South Carolina before launching his musical career in the 1970s as part of the R&B group Moses Dillard and the Tex-Town Display.

His talent quickly attracted attention, leading to a solo recording contract with Atlanta-based Bang Records.
Over the decades, he worked with major labels including Capitol, Elektra and Columbia, establishing himself as one of the industry's most sought-after duet partners.
Beyond his Disney successes, Mr Bryson collaborated with artists such as Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole and saxophonist Kenny G.
His 1983 duet album with Flack, Born To Love, featured Tonight, I Celebrate My Love, which reached number two on the UK singles chart.
The singer had previously overcome a heart attack in 2019, making a full recovery.
