Sophia Hutchins, Caitlyn Jenner’s 29-year-old manager and close friend, has died following a tragic ATV crash near her Malibu home.
The incident occurred when Hutchins reportedly rear-ended another vehicle, causing her all-terrain vehicle to plummet “350 feet down into a ravine,” according to TMZ.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the car she struck were unharmed.
Hutchins had been closely involved in Jenner’s personal and professional life since 2017, managing her business affairs and later becoming CEO and director of the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation - a non-profit supporting equality and fighting discrimination against the transgender community.

Hutchins and Jenner met in 2015 shortly after Jenner came out as transgender.
Introduced by their hairdresser, the two developed an inseparable bond. Hutchins, who was also transgender, moved into Jenner’s $3.5 million Malibu home.
She then began appearing regularly in Jenner’s reality series I Am Cait and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Their close relationship sparked rumours of romance, but Hutchins publicly dismissed them in a 2018 interview with The New York Times, saying: “I wouldn’t describe it as romantic. I would describe it as: we’re partners, business partners.”

On The Hidden Truth podcast, she elaborated further, saying: “We have so much in common and see the world so similarly, and are both such a good match for each other because we challenge each other.
“We’re partners in everything we do -we’re inseparable, we’re business partners, we live together, we share a dog, we share family, we share a life together.”
She also explained why she took on the role of Jenner’s manager: “I was saying: ‘Caitlyn, if I don’t step in here and start managing you, you’re going to go broke',” she told The New York Times in 2019.

Despite what many might assume, Hutchins said her relationship with Jenner’s ex-wife, Kris Jenner, was supportive.
“It’s not like we’re like girlfriends having drinks all the time, but you know, if there’s ever a concern or ever a question or anything I have needed help with, Kris would be the first phone call,” Hutchins shared in a 2020 interview with Behind the Velvet Rope podcast.
Before her death, Hutchins was also CEO of a beauty brand, though the company has since ceased operations.
Authorities and representatives for Caitlyn Jenner have yet to issue a formal statement.
