Nicola Peltz-Beckham, the wife of Brooklyn Beckham, has returned to social media for the first time since her father-in-law, Sir David Beckham, was knighted by the King on Tuesday.

The actress and model was notably absent with her other half from the former footballer's event as reports of a bubbling feud between the husband and wife duo and his family rumbles on.

Sir David was bestowed with a knighthood by King Charles at Windsor Castle, marking a pinnacle achievement in his illustrious career spanning sport and philanthropy.

The 50-year-old former England captain attended the investiture ceremony accompanied by his wife Victoria, who wore an elegant navy ensemble with a coordinating headpiece.

Three of the couple's four children witnessed the historic moment, with Romeo, Cruz, and Harper Seven joining their parents at the royal residence. However, the family's eldest child, 26-year-old Brooklyn, was nowhere to be seen.

The honour recognises Beckham's extensive contributions to football, where he secured six Premier League titles and two FA Cups during his Manchester United tenure, alongside his two-decade commitment as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Romeo and Cruz both took to social media to celebrate their father's momentous achievement, sharing footage of the knighthood ceremony on Instagram.

Romeo posted a family photograph from Windsor Castle featuring himself, Cruz, Harper, and their parents, accompanied by the heartfelt message: "No one deserves this more than you, love you so much xxx. Congrats Sir dad." (sic)

However, both Brooklyn and his wife maintained their silence on social media on the day, although the latter did return to Instagram in the early hours of Wednesday morning with her first post since Sir David's knighthood.

Rather than addressing her father-in-law's achievement, Nicola reached out to her sister, Brittany, instead.

"Omg @brittanyleahpeltz thank you so so so much these are breathtaking," Nicola penned alongside a bouquet of flowers she'd been gifted by her sibling.

Brooklyn is yet to return to social media since missing the knighting ceremony, at the time of writing. His absence from the Windsor Castle ceremony forms part of an established pattern of missing significant family occasions.

The 26-year-old chef failed to attend his father's milestone 50th birthday celebrations in May and he similarly skipped the premiere of his mother's Netflix documentary and her Paris Fashion Week presentation.

The eldest Beckham child has also refrained from acknowledging his brothers' birthdays on social media this autumn.

These repeated absences appear deliberate, with sources suggesting Brooklyn and his wife Nicola have severed communication with his parents.

Whilst Victoria and David continue engaging with their son's Instagram posts, Brooklyn has shown no reciprocal interest in maintaining digital contact with his family.

The deterioration in family relations is reported to have originated during Brooklyn's 2022 marriage to actress Nicola in Palm Beach. Behind-the-scenes clashes are said to have emerged between the bride and Victoria regarding Nicola's wedding dress selection.

Alternative theories point to complications involving Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnbull, whose presence allegedly created discomfort for Nicola due to rumoured past connections with Brooklyn. But Romeo's partner has since refuted claims of any romantic history with the eldest Beckham son.

Brooklyn and Nicola recently renewed their marriage vows in Italy, inviting Nicola's family whilst excluding the Beckhams from the 200-guest celebration. Romeo and Cruz were omitted from the guest list.

Those close to Victoria and David have claimed they have "accepted they won't see Brooklyn for the foreseeable future" despite months of attempted outreach. David is described as "heartbroken" over the estrangement, though is believed to maintain hope for eventual reconciliation.
