Amanda Abbington left Strictly Come Dancing for "personal reasons"

The BBC is reportedly declining to investigate Giovanni Pernice over his conduct on Strictly Come Dancing.

Concerns were reportedly raised by his 2023 partner Amanda Abbington who has since "demanded footage from rehearsals", according to sources.

Rumours of a feud between the two have been rife ever since Abbington left the series and omitted Pernice from her exit statement.

Abbington cited "personal reasons" for her departure from the show and didn't return for the 2023 grand finale alongside her fellow competitors.

It has now been claimed Abbington has PTSD [Post Traumatic Stress Disorder] following her time on the show and she reportedly wants footage from the rehearsal rooms to back up her claims and seek legal advice.

The BBC declined to comment on the reports when contacted by GB News while a source told The Sun: "Some of the professionals and crew feel it needs to be dealt with and Giovanni shouldn't come back this year.

"The BBC are standing behind Giovanni and won't be pursuing an investigation. It's a shock to some on the show who think something needs to be done about his behaviour.

"Amanda had a really tough time with him and she isn't the only one. Four more of his partners have either talked openly about how hard it was working with him or have made it clear in the industry.

"Like Amanda, Ranvir [Singh] also flagged an issue during training with Giovanni and said she was unhappy.

"The BBC appears to be doing nothing and it’s shocking."

GB News has contacted Abbington's representatives for comment.

Pernice first joined Strictly in 2015 and won the series back in 2021 alongside EastEnders actor Rose Ayling-Ellis.

He has since made a return to social media since reports of Abbington's demands broke - but has avoided any mention of the Sherlock star.

Instead, he celebrated a milestone achieved by his dance school alongside fellow professional dancer Pasquale La Rocca on Instagram.

Sharing a series of snaps of the classes from Sunday, Pernice penned: "250 people!! This is how we spend our Sunday @pasquallarocca!! Love you all," followed by love heart emojis.

Abbington has similarly made returns to social media in recent days but again has avoided any mention of Strictly.

Instead, Abbington has been celebrating welcoming a new addition to the family in the form of a dachshund.
