The ITV judge has made clear complaints and criticism don't affect her

Amanda Holden has declared she will continue wearing revealing outfits on Britain's Got Talent despite years of viewer complaints, insisting she now cares even less about public opinion.

The 55-year-old judge, who returns to screens this week for the show's 19th series, made her position abundantly clear ahead of the new run.

"Of course there will be side boob, leg and anything else that I can get out," she joked.

Speaking to The Sun, she continued: "The only change is that I care less these days about what anyone thinks of me."

Ms Holden added that she surrounds herself with "like-minded people who have good energy" and has no patience for negativity.

The television presenter described her approach as "self-preservation," rejecting any rulebook when it comes to fashion choices.

Her bold wardrobe choices have a lengthy history of sparking complaints to media regulator Ofcom.

The most controversial moment came during the 2017 semi-final when a plunging Julien Macdonald gown attracted a remarkable 663 complaints from viewers who deemed it inappropriate for a family programme.

The £11,000 floor-length creation featured a neckline slashed to the navel and a cut-out panel extending to the small of her back, though Ofcom ultimately declined to investigate.

In 2020, Ms Holden revealed that ITV bosses had established what she memorably dubbed a "t*t committee" to assess whether her dresses were too revealing before broadcast.

"There's a whole body of people that knock on my door and come and stare at my chest before we go on air," she explained at the time.

Ms Holden also made a cheeky confession about her underwear choices, drawing inspiration from Sex and the City character Samantha Jones.

"It's very Sex And The City of me, but the only pearls I own are attached to a thong I wear at home, especially at weekends," she admitted.

The presenter insisted she will never be spotted without heels, false lashes and lipstick, emphasising this is entirely her own choice rather than any external pressure.

"I perhaps have way more courage now than I did before - there is no holding me back!" she declared.

Ms Holden has consistently maintained that fashion should involve risk-taking and enjoyment, previously stating in 2022: "Fashion is about taking risks. I encourage everyone to have a little fun and be a little daring. I'd be bored playing it safe."

The talent competition has undergone a significant change this series, with KSI stepping in for Bruno Tonioli, who departed due to scheduling conflicts with Dancing with the Stars.

Ms Holden described the 32-year-old YouTube star's arrival as "a genius move" and revealed he has become the judge she feels closest to on the panel.

The presenter admitted she and her fellow judges, including Simon Cowell, have been eager to appear alongside KSI in social media content due to his enormous online following of more than 75 million across platforms.

"I just need to get KSI on one of my videos and it performs even better!" she told the Mirror. "The last one we did together was well over 3 million last time I checked."
