Good Morning Britain presenter Adil Ray has suggested the United States is transforming into a fascist nation.
The ITV host posed a provocative question to his Instagram followers, asking when people would acknowledge America's apparent shift towards fascism.
In his post, Mr Ray outlined what he described as warning signs, including the targeting of minority groups, fervent nationalism, and a leader with cult-like status.
He also pointed to the rejection of electoral outcomes, the normalisation of corrupt practices, and the emergence of what he termed a "secret police."
The presenter further cited attempts to exert control over healthcare, educational institutions and media organisations, alongside the rewarding of wealthy loyalists and the glorification of violent acts.
Mr Ray's comments come in the wake of his public criticism of President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance following the fatal shooting of an American citizen during an immigration enforcement operation.
Renee Nicole Good, aged 37, was shot dead in her vehicle by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
The incident has triggered a bitter dispute between federal authorities and local officials, with both sides presenting conflicting versions of events.

He also issued a stark warning: "First they come for... then they come for you."
Vice President Vance offered robust support for immigration enforcement personnel, declaring on X: "I want every ICE officer to know that their president, vice president and the entire administration stands behind them."

Federal authorities have maintained the shooting was justified as self-defence.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem accused Ms Good of "stalking and impeding" agents throughout the day, claiming she used her vehicle to block their operations whilst shouting at officers.
Ms Noem alleged the woman had "weaponised her vehicle" in an attempt to run over an agent, branding the incident "an act of domestic terrorism".

"Every human life matters. But when a western life is lost, we hear about their family, their life, their journey," he wrote.
"14 Gazan civilians were killed yesterday. 5 children. Can you tell me anything about them?" he asked his followers.
