Most areas dry but often cloudy. Some sunny spells are possible, these mostly across northeast Scotland, Wales and southwest England. Some light rain and drizzle affecting northwest Scotland where it will be windy with coastal gales.

Tonight

Remaining mostly dry but largely cloudy, with only brief breaks in the cloud allowing very isolated frost. Windy in the northwest with some heavier rain for northwest Scotland later.

Monday

A band of increasingly patchy rain will move southwards across Scotland. Continuing mostly cloudy but largely dry elsewhere, and rather cold in the south.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday

Mostly dry and often cloudy. Rain arriving into the northwest on Wednesday, spreading further southeast during Thursday, and turning increasingly light and patchy. Brighter weather following.
